The 2014 Lady Rebel softball team went undefeated in the State Tournament and won their second Division 2-A State Championship in four years with an 8-4 victory over Davidson Academy. The Lady Rebels also defeated USJ 6-4 and Ezell-Harding 2-1 en route to the title.

On Friday, May 27th, the TRA Varsity Softball team won the Division II Class A Championship Game of the TSSAA State Tournament in Murfreesboro, TN at the Star-Plex. After going undefeated all week, the girls beat University School of Jackson 7-5 to clinch the title. TRA is very proud of these girls! Way to go Rebels!
Senior Ashton Needham will follow her former teammate Roxanna Kimes and will continue her education and softball playing career at Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, Mississippi next year after signing a National Letter of Intent in January.

TRA Senior Julanne McCommon signed a letter of intent to play both Basketball and Softball next year at Dyersburg State Community College. McCommon was joined at the signing by her parents Johnny and Jeanette McCommon, TRA coaches Wendy Porter, Sharia Armour, Joe Layton, Amber Needham and the Dyersburg State Community College Coach, Ryan Puckett.
