At the inception of the 2010 academic year, TRA became a 1-1 Macbook school for students enrolled in grades 1-12. Currently, students in grades 3K-4K share iPads and students in 5K-2nd grade receive their own iPads and have technology incorporated into their daily activities. Students in grades 3-12 receive an assigned Macbook and those in grades 5-12 take these units home each night. With this comes the greater need to technical support.
Our technology center is housed in the middle school. Here, technical support, as well as audio-visual demands are met throughout the day for both teachers and students. MacPac members are students who are technically savvy and trained to help resolve issues with the equipment. Tim Cousar is the IT Coordinator and works with the MacPac members to help all users achieve success with their technology.
Any issues with connectivity, program issues, and beyond can be brought to the technology center. This center is an integral part of our effort to bring our students into the highly competitive world, rich in technology.
