TRA Athletics begin in our elementary school where we offer various parent supported sports depending on the interest of that class. Every age level has basketball, but also if interest dictates, we have had grade level softball and football teams as well.
Organized school athletics begin in fifth grade. For 5th graders, we offer cheerleading, volleyball, and basketball. For 6th, 7th and 8th graders, we offer softball, volleyball, basketball, football, cheerleading, boys soccer, and cross country. 8th graders are allowed to play on the junior varsity baseball team.
Our High School is a member of TSSAA where we are classified as Division II, Class A West. We offer football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, softball, baseball, tennis, golf, cross country, and cheerleading.
The athletic department of Tipton-Rosemark Academy believes that high level interscholastic athletics is an important part of the educational experience. In order to provide quality athletic programs, quality personnel must be priority. In addition to quality coaching, TRA provides quality sports medicine and athletic training services. A part time, NATA certified athletic trainer is a member of the TRA athletic staff. This individual is provided under an agreement with Tipton-Rosemark Academy and Campbell Clinic.
While we hope that no one ever becomes injured, we are aware that injuries are a part of athletics. The sports medicine program is developed to recognize, treat and rehabilitate the injuries that occur in athletics.

In accordance to TSSAA rules, all student athletes must have a valid physical examination on file with the Athletic Director prior to any participation in athletics.
Physicals are valid from April 15 through the last day of school of the following year.
Physicals must be performed by one of the following: Medical Doctor, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Physicians Assistant.
Physical Forms must be completed prior to the first scheduled practice or try out.
Campbell Clinic offers physicals at the Germantown location once a year - typically held in early May each year.
We will continue to use the online process for completing the TSSAA required forms for sport participation, called e-PPE® (electronic Pre-Participation Evaluation), e-PPE® replaces the paper-based forms. All athletes grade 5-12 for the 2017-2018 school year are required to register and complete the on line forms PRIOR to their athletic physicals. We will not be able to accept any physicals that are not completed through the E-PPE process. Please allow time prior to your student's physical to complete the necessary online forms. A detailed step by step process is outlined here. Please note that all physicals from 2016-2017 school year will be out of date as of the last day of school. To participate in any practice, workout or athletic event after the last day of school the student will need a physical dated after April 15, 2016 on the new forms through the E-PPE process.
